What is health coaching?

A relatively new field in the medical system, health coaching facilitates behavioral adjustments that are realistic, obtainable and long lasting. A health coach is an expert in the health and wellness field who is trained to help you set and work toward achieving your personal health and wellness goals. She helps you execute and implement your plans!

Whether you’re looking to lose weight, eat healthier, get a better handle on stress, or change up your exercise routine, a health coach can help. A health coach will:

  • Identify your goals
  • Create and achieve small steps toward your goal
  • Customize, implement and execute your plans 
  • Improve your self-management
  • Help you stay motivated and accountable
  • Help you achieve the results you desire

 

 

Evidence-based health coaching works with positive psychology, using motivational interviewing methods to uncover the client’s own voices which will lead to successful goal setting. Research has shown that having support during a challenging task helps the client achieve their goal much more effectively. Your health coaching sessions are always private and confidential.

Evidence Based Practice

Unfortunately, 1 out of every 10 people over the age of 35 has at least one chronic disease. An estimated 75% of all chronic diseases and the associated costs are preventable. Clinical Evidence-Based Practice interventions have been proven to yield better outcomes for those with chronic conditions.

Patients with chronic conditions such as obesity, heart diseases, hypertension, diabetes, COPD, and chronic pain can benefit significantly if they work with a health coach to help modify their lifestyle and reach their optimum health.

A Health Coach is not a physician. She does not diagnose, or offer medical advice, but will work with you on setting and working towards your goals.

I am excited to offer evidence-based health coaching in my practice.

In my experience, several chronic health conditions (obesity, smoking, diabetes, hypertension, etc.) respond well to a series of acupuncture treatments plus the accountability of coaching. By combining health-coaching sessions with these treatments , we will significantly increase the efficacy and success to your goals to a healthier life!

Single Power Health Coaching Session

In this session, we will uncover your current health or life challenges that are causing unease, stress, undesirable health conditions. We will go over your goals, and strategize how to best implement healthy habits into your life for maximum results. You will gain clarity and tools that you can implement straight away and be on your path to feeling better physically and emotionally.

 

Monthly One-on-One Coaching Package

When you need to shift gears, and work toward a healthier, happier life, this is the package for you. In this monthly coaching package, we will have weekly one-on-one coaching sessions to work on your goals.

In between sessions, I am available for continued support and accountability. There is an option for monthly power package that includes an extra 3-hour coaching retreat (may include a hike, a cooking session, a hypnotherapy session, etc) to maximize your potential.

 

Monthly Continued Coaching Support

For continuous support, this is a good option for daily check-ins and accountability.  Through this option, you will have access to me via email or text throughout the month.

 

Transform Weight Release Program

This is a 6-week intensive weight release program to help you release the extra weight for good. It is designed to integrate effective tools incorporating coaching, hypnotherapy and acupuncture for maximum results.
